Very beautiful and long ascent from Arbedo. Hardly any traffic, as only accessible with special authorisation (barrier in Arbedo). Several gravel sections at the top (as already described by Kevin). If you are planning to pass through the tunnel and descend via the village of Laura, a gravel bike is recommended as the road on the north side is in very poor condition. All in all, however, a pearl in the Ticino region/Bellinzona👌🏻

Sehr schöne und langer Anstieg ab Arbedo. Kaum Verkehr, da nur mit Spezialbewilligung befahrbar (Barriere in Arbedo). Mehrere Schotterabschnitte im obersten Bereich (wie bereit von Kevin beschrieben). Wer die Durchfahrt durch das Tunnel und die Abfahrt über die Ortschaft Laura plant, dem sei das Gravel Bike Empfohlen da die Strasse auf der Nordseite in sehr schlechtem Zustand ist. Alles in allem aber eine Perle in der Region Tessin/Bellinzona👌🏻

De zwaarste van Zwitserland volgens Climbfinder. Gezien de lengte, het vrijwel constante stijgingspercentage van minstens 9% en de laatste erg steile (hecto)meters richting Capana Gesero ben ik geneigd akkoord te gaan. Een minpunt(je) van deze klim langs deze zijde is het onverharde gedeelte in de slotkilometers. In droge omstandigheden zoals bij mij eind juni redelijk goed te doen, maar echt leuk is het niet. Een gevoel van alleen op de wereld ervaar je op de top!
