Lovely quiet climb, mostly on tarmac and sheltered by trees. Last kilometres are unpaved, but doable on MTB. After the Abbaye, you can continue on MTB for about 4km on a gravel path. The latter is definitely worthwhile, as you cycle in a more open environment and can enjoy the views. Plus another 200 or so extra altimeters! Oh yes, at the end of that path there are picnic tables along a stream to chill out for a while!

Nice very gentle climb on a narrow road through mainly woodland. You hardly meet anyone here. Generally quite regular with a few outliers up to 12%. After about 6 km the tarmac turns into quite coarse gravel, I was happy with mikm gravel bike, on a road bike the last 2 km is quite difficult to do. At the top of the climb, in the middle of nowhere, there is suddenly a restaurant with parking.
