A great, very steep climb from Kahlenbergstrasse toward Zweifaller Schneise into the forest. The surroundings are very beautiful, and despite a few houses at higher elevations, there’s virtually no car traffic. Unfortunately, the asphalt is in very poor condition, which makes the climb even more challenging in some spots. The climb stretches for nearly 1.2 km with long straight sections and has an average gradient of just under 10%. Nevertheless, it should be manageable as long as you pace you... read more

Nevertheless, it should be manageable as long as you pace yourself well. However, you should avoid going too fast at all costs. If the gate at the top is closed, it gets a bit tricky because you have to go around it on the left on a steep incline. You may need to dismount. After that, relatively flat gravel paths lead toward Hahnerstrasse / Mulartshütte. A gravel bike would be an advantage here.

Ggfs sollte man absteigen. Danach folgen relativ flache Schotterwege Richtung Hahnerstrasse / Mulartshütte. Hier wäre ein Gravelbike von Vorteil.

A nice killer climb through beautiful surroundings. However, there is a lot of poor tarmac and on the steep part there is also a few metres of gravel because the tarmac has partly disappeared. Everything is rideable but the descending is careful. The asphalt stops at the end, but a good gravel road follows. There is also a barrier just before the end, but if it is closed you can go around it.
From Zweifall it goes up steeply but then it becomes more relaxed while you have nice views into the valley. In the forest it goes really steep up which continues for quite a long time. Then the slope becomes less steep but it remains a lot of pedalling. Only at the end does it really decrease. All in all, a nice challenge in beautiful surroundings.
