Het eerste deel gaat langs een parkeerplaats (via de parkeerplaats rijden levert trouwens een kort steil klimmetje op). Als je goed kijkt zie je het fietspad al liggen boven de Overstehof. Na verloop van tijd linksaf het fietspad op. Die klimt aardig door. Vlak voor het hoogste punt is links een boomstam-bank, vandaar kan je mooi omlaag kijken naar het begin van de klim.
Na het hoogste punt loopt het fietspad vlak of licht dalend door via een mooi traject om de Wilhelminaberg heen.
