Vanaf de kerk van Erden loopt het wat steiler op totdat je de bebouwde kom achter je hebt gelaten. Daarna gaat het gestaag aan een gewoon lekker percentage tot het ineens flink steiler wordt en je langs de kapel doorrijdt tot het asfalt (en de klim) ophoudt. Via een korte vlakke gravelweg kom je weer op asfalt uit zodat je via een andere weg kan afdalen of de weg kan vervolgen. Ook heb je tijdens de klim meerdere mogelijkheden om af te slaan.
