A pleasant climb through particularly beautiful surroundings with the park-like and rolling grounds of a natural cemetery and the adjacent monastery. Good running gravel which soon changes to fine asphalt. Just after the transition there is a punchy bouncy sill (watch out when descending this climb!) and then a nice uphill road until the bend. Then a lot flatter but the road continues to rise slightly until the end. Second part runs through the forest.... read more

Unfortunately, the first section is covered in a layer of gravel, which makes it fairly easy to fall over with a racing bike. I speak from experience... The climb itself is not so special, especially the rustic environment is worthwhile.

I don't remember much about the gradient or how the climb felt, that's how surprised I was by the special scenery here so close to Arnhem. You keep looking around and wondering what you are seeing. Really an oasis of peace, green and rolling landscape. That small piece of gravel completes it all. Take it easy on the gravel, I had an empty tire shortly after.

Nice, not too difficult climb in a nearly car-free forest. The climb goes along an asphalted service road from an abbey to a monastery. Good road surface and a nice middle part for the legs.
