This is a tough climb, some parts are really steep, but there are some nice views and buildings around to admire if you are taking it slow. Not much traffic here either.

I can recommend this climb to anyone who likes to suffer a bit :)

The routes on the main roads to Volterra are very busy and this one from Prato d'Era is beautiful and quiet. Also the road to the start of the climb on the 439dir from the 68 at Roncolla or from the 15 is beautiful and quiet.
