Discontinuous climb at least up to the point where you come out on the southern slope of the Veddasca Valley: in essence, it is the same road you would use to climb to the Pradecolo Alp starting from Luino and avoiding the climb from Colmegna and that from the hostile via Torretta that climbs from Colmengna to Agra. The pains begin when crossing the Curiglia village leaving on the left the road that descends to Piero: the road literally climbs in an "esse" with gradients close to 20% for a short stretch before allowing a moment of respite and resuming to climb sharply toward Viasco with gradients always at 12-15% and a stretch after the junction to Sarona and the Alpone diu Curiglia even at 19%. The road is rather narrow and gives no respite until you reach Viasco flattening out and ending in a well-trodden dirt road that allows you to see the scattered houses of Viasco and avera very nice view of the opposite side of the valley, the forcora and Neggia Pass. Continuing on the dirt road where it turns right following the mountain ridge, excellent views of Monteviasco.
Younger sister in beauty than Alpe Pradecolo. The first part is common, then the'other climbs 7km to 8% this one instead alternates between descents and short climbs. Super natural and wild
Super naturale e selvaggia
Beautiful climb, steep at the end. Lots of shade on the way to Curiglia, which was nice. Asphalt partly new and generally fine. Done together with my men aged 15 and 17. The youngest was first at the top 😁
Fairly "creative" but interesting route, especially the second part through the woods to the forgotten and enchanted Curiglia. Brutal is the climb from here to Viasco. I would also like to point out that from Curiglia you can climb as an alternative to the Sarona alpine pasture (Climbfinder did not accept my route) via a well asphalted road: 2 hellish kilometres with peaks between 25 and 30%.
