Nice climb, no very steep pieces, if you have found a good rhythm you can easily reach the top. A must is to cycle it before sunrise, then you have a nice overview in the dark about the lights of Napoli, and afterwards a sunrise!... read more

It's an iconic climb with beautifull nature around you and also a great overview over the sea, the islands and the cities around when your at the top, the road itself is not in very good condition and the traffic is really busy.

A climb not to be missed, with little traffic and a good road surface condition... Priceless view... I combined this climb with the Vesuvius tour passing through somma vesuviana, Ottaviano and returning to torre del greco... used to the traffic and roads of Bergamo I would say that I would not repeat it

I go there almost every Sunday starting from Naples, it is ideal for those who live in Naples and most of its province and want to pedal up a fairly difficult first-class climb, starting from home directly with their bicycle, without transporting it by car.
The road surface is quite good except for the first kilometre, the traffic is generally not excessive, although it increases on holidays, the only annoyance, especially on the descent, may be caused by the numerous tourist buses. In summer, I advise against the hottest hours, as almost the entire route is exposed to sunlight, with very few sections in the shade.
Beautiful panorama, with views of the Gulf of Naples Capri, Ischia and Procida
