19 June 2025 morning
Climb with very little traffic, saw only 1 other cyclist, in the shade (at least in this early morning), quite a few percentages at 9%, but also some level ground.
Not a very hard climb, quiet in terms of traffic but with the presence of a few patous which for me weren't on the road unlike the guy who went up before me! It's not nearly as scenic as the Iseran or the Bellecombe climb...

19 juin 2025 matin

My first real climb!
The climb from l'Orgère takes you through the small village of Saint-André, before heading into the Vanoise National Park. The route is not overly busy, as it only gives access to the refuge.
The gradients are never too steep, and there is a little resting place in the woods where you can catch your breath. A good climb that's well worth the diversions on a good outing with plenty of climbs!

I combined this climb with the one at the other end of the valley, Valfréjus. It ends at a restaurant, from where you can hike further and probably mountain bike too.

Very good climb for a training session: the big percentages follow one another but the climb only lasts about 10 km so we leave our comfort zone but gently!
