I have just completed this climb and I loved it! I started at the train station in Guadalajara and continued along the N-320, also known as Carretera de Cuenca. Although the route starts with a very busy stretch of traffic and in some areas a narrow hard shoulder and I think a couple of areas of a few metres with no hard shoulder, which can be a bit stressful at least for me, the situation improves significantly once you take the road to Brihuega (CM-2005). From there on, the traffic slows down considerably, so much so that you are practically riding on the road alone. The initial stretch with heavy traffic lasts about 17 km, but it is well worth the effort. The climb itself is pleasant, with a picturesque village at the beginning of the pass and our final destination, with only 75 inhabitants according to wikipedia 🙃 The descent is especially fun thanks to the numerous zigzags that make it exciting. Overall, a recommended route for those looking for a moderate challenge and to enjoy the scenery. There is a stone fountain half way up, I didn't check if it was drinkable, I didn't stop, in the village there is also a fountain in the children's park, there I did drink and I'm still alive. 😅
