Nice steep climb to the plateau to which several climbs from the valley lead. At the top of the climb, the tarmac ends and the subsequent towpaths are not suitable for road bikes, so you are indeed forced to descend by the same road again. However, the views make up for a lot. The road surface is not equally good everywhere, so be careful on the descent!
Mooie steile klim naar het plateau waar meerdere klimmen vanuit de vallei naar leiden. Bovenaan de klim houdt het asfalt op en de opvolgende trekkerpaden zijn niet geschikt voor racefietsen, dus ben je inderdaad genoodzaakt om weer via dezelfde weg af te dalen. Het uitzicht maakt echter veel goed. Het wegdek is niet overal even goed, dus zeker bij de afdaling is het oppassen!
Delicious, partly very steep calves winner on a dead end tarmac road (after the climb the road continues as a gravel road over the plateau). The road first runs along some houses and then (here it really goes up) partly in a valley and partly as a hollow road up. The last part is flatter (at the end it goes up steeper again) but your legs won't notice that. Reasonable to good asphalt, although it was now (February 2022) very dirty because of the storms and rain of recent weeks.
WARNING: The first grating (already after a few meters from the main road) does not connect well, in two places your wheel fits between the grates (!). So pay attention here. The other grids are good.
Heerlijke deels knalsteile kuitenbijter over een doodlopende asfaltweg (na de klim gaat de weg verder als gravelweg over het plateau). De weg loopt eerst langs wat huizen en daarna (hier gaat het ook echt omhoog) deels in een dalletje en deels als holle weg omhoog. Het laatste deel loopt vlakker (op het eind gaat het weer even steiler omhoog) maar daar merken je benen dan weinig van. Redelijk tot goed asfalt, al was het nu (februari 2022) erg smerig vanwege de stormen en regen van de afgelopen weken.
WAARSCHUWING: Het eerste rooster (al na enkele meters vanaf de hoofdweg) sluit niet goed aan, op twee plekken past je wiel tussen de roosters (!). Hier dus goed opletten. De overige roosters zijn wel goed.
