Worthy of the No.1 ranking in East of England. A short beginning to the climb of only a couple of % gradient but then increase rapidly at the sharp, right hand elbow. The climb levels out a little through the gentle left hand bend and riders are rewarded as they begin the long straight as the full majestic nature of the climb is visible ahead high gives riders a clear idea of the work needed to conquer this climb. Approximately half way along this stretch the gradient increases steadily - and just keeps going! The road abruptly bends to the right through the trees as the high gradient is sustained and then bends left. Still not reached the summit - a short section follows as you continue along the tree lined road and then comes the final push at a steep gradient again to the summit.

A real test for riders of all abilities. Without a doubt, my favourite climb which I always use as a training ground for the annual Dragon Ride sportive in June. Bring your climbing gears with you, and your stamina. You should feel very pleased with yourself at the top! :-)
