A very difficult climb, but certainly worth the diversions! The ascent is on a road that is not very busy, and in decent condition. If you're on a mountain bike or gravel bike, you can push on to the superb Lac de Roue.

Let goed op waar hij begint: tussen de stoplichten die het 'eenrichtingsverkeer' reguleren. Direct bij het tweede stoplicht, althans wanneer je van de afslag naar d'Izoard komt.
Het zal uiteraard kloppen dat het een klim van de 3e categorie is, maar voelde voor mij als een 2e categorie. Echt zwaar en lang.
Eenmaal boven aangekomen, ontmoet je een lieflijk agrarisch dorp. Mogelijkheden om de bidon te vullen. Prachtig kerkje ook.
