Life is magnificent... worth coming for that alone. The surface is purely excellent. The climb features 3 "butt hits" at nearly 15%, which you can't see in the profile but will notice as you climb!
A demanding and panoramic climb, with about 8 km and 500 m of elevation gain. The toughest slopes are concentrated in the first half, with stretches of more than 10%, but the effort is compensated by impressive views of the Mediterranean and Cap de Creus.
The road is in good condition, with constant bends and very little traffic. The arrival at the monastery offers an epic finish in a unique historical setting.
A tough climb but highly recommended, both for the challenge and the scenery.
Setting off relatively early from Llançà, the climb is made without crossing any traffic, except to reach the foot of a short wall at the start of the ascent. The gradients are high in places, particularly on 2-3 hairpin bends. The reward is great all the way up, with views of the coves of Llançà and the Port de la Selva, especially at the summit. On the way back down along the same route, an optical effect causes the road to fall into the sea.
Wonderfully spicy bike mountain in my beloved holiday town of El Port de la Selva. I look forward to going up again all year. Beautiful views and tarmac since 2019 perfect!
A 7.7 Km climb from El port de la Selva with an average of 6.6 % and 512 m difference in altitude, with many sections of 8 % and more, with a small peak of 19 %. The climb starts in the coastal town directly at 13.6 % to wake up your legs. Beautiful cycling environment along hairpin bends on a well maintained asphalt road.
Not too much traffic and all car drivers keep their distance from the cyclist and is also indicated by road signs along the way.
