Climbed on June 30, 2026. Warm, even at 8 a.m. After a steep start (8%), a steady climb with beautiful views of Nant and the surrounding area. Traffic was fairly light, but I climbed outside the peak vacation season. Great road. No facilities at the summit. Highly recommended if you’re in the area, and of course a “classic” if you’re on vacation in Nant.

For the views alone, this is an absolute banger!

Start off in the town and it's a gentle introduction, that settles into 6％ once you turn the first corner. From here it's a winding route up to the first hairpin, then a big sweeping right hander around the mountain and then the road wiggles up to the plateau at the top.

The views to your left are incredible! The valley below is green and lush and you see the hills, rounded volcanic mounds that look like something from middle earth.

The road surface is great and even though it's a main road, it didn't feel busy (although I rode at 8am).
