On Sunday in March, the bareel was closed. There were 2 reasons shown on the bareel : 1. Wind and fire danger and 2. On Sunday (off season) traffic free and so it is for cyclists and pedestrians. They leave both reasons on the bareel even if it is a normal Sunday without fire danger or too much wind. On Saturday there were quite a lot of people, plenty of loud motos. During the week they were no motos and few autos. I did not find the climb difficult from this side with my 34x34. From Cassis the climb is much harder, even with my gear. I definitely recommend the climb, it's really worth it.
