A lovely climb up a very green valley, mostly wooded, but with good views of the immediate surroundings. The road is a little degraded in its lower part (about 1.5km), but in very good condition thereafter. The gradients are sustained at around 7-8%, but never very steep. The pass is in the forest but offers a partial view to the south-east. There is an inn at the pass. Nearby: Geroldsau has a drinking water fountain (200m south of the church).... read more

Lovely climb. It takes some searching to get through Baden-Baden easily, but as soon as you leave the city it is nice cycling again. The real climbing actually starts from the Gernsbach exit, then an easy bit and then some'5km of real climbing. Very stable percentages, the second part is 8% on average, but also hardly ever gets above 10. Nice quiet road through a beautiful valley. Really recommended in this part of the black forest.

Heerlijke klim.
