La salita è divisa in due parti: la prima parte è su strada discretamente trafficata, pendenze non molto impegnative, si può ammirare il castello Normanno di Ocre. Si giunge poi al bivio per Rocca di Mezzo, dove bisogna prendere la vecchia strada per Rocca di Cambio; la salita diventa più impegnativa, con molte curve, splendida vista del Monte Ocre (metri 2204). C'è una fontana con acqua molto fresca appena sopra San Martino d'Ocre.

Great long climb from the direction of l'Aquila towards Rocca di Cambio. Quiet roads and fine road surface. It never gets steep so for me it was the perfect last climb of the day after steeper climbs in the area.
