The first part is on quite a busy road but it’s safe because the drivers are used to cyclists. It gets much better when you turn into the Ojén town. After you ride through it you begin a few beautiful switchbacks. Then, you turn back onto the busy road for a short while after which the best part begins. The last 5 kilometers are on a smooth, pretty and quiet road.

A very nice and steady climb that starts almost immediately!! Some heavy traffic at the main motorway up to the point where the turn for the rifugio comes, after that it’s you and the mountain!! Very pleased with the respect everyone shows for the cyclists though!!
