Nice climb through the bends :) The road surface is good but it is a pretty busy road unfortunately (except for the last part). The percentages are friendly, nice when you do (almost) pass them!

The climb itself is fun with moderate percentages and some hairpin turns. At the very end, it actually gets equally steep too. The shame is that there is no fun way to get to the foot of this climb. You have to pass the busy road along the Meuse River anyway.
De klim zelf is leuk met gematigde percentages en een aantal haarspeldbochten. Helemaal op het einde wordt het zowaar nog even steil ook. Het jammere is dat er geen enkele leuke manier is om naar de voet van deze klim te komen. Je moet sowieso even langs de drukke weg langs de Maas.
After the connecting road with hairpin bends, you come out on a smaller road after which you have to cross a steeper stretch on the sharp left. Near the houses is the end of the climb. Mostly good tarmac and beautiful green surroundings.

Several hairpin bends between the trees make it a nice climb, which is on average also a bit steeper than the Rue de Richelle (which Rue des Hauteurs skips). Disadvantage is that there is often a lot of traffic. It is indeed a perfect climb to use as a warming-up for the other (steeper) climbs in and around Liège.
Meerdere haarspeldbochten tussen de bomen maken het een mooie beklimming, die gemiddeld ook net wat steiler is dan de Rue de Richelle (die Rue des Hauteurs overslaat). Nadeel is dat er hier vaak veel verkeer is. Is inderdaad een perfecte klim om als opwarmer te gebruiken voor de andere (steilere) klimmetjes in en rondom Luik.

Probably climbed 50 times already, was one of my first climbs in this part of Belgium in 2013. Turned out to be a nice warm-up for the Rue Tesny which will make your legs break a bit further on.
Very unbelievable if you ask me, you turn into the forest via the main road and slowly go up, the hairpin turns give you a feeling of entering another world, Visé at the foot was a desolate and dirty part of Belgium and then it appears that the true beauty is not far away.

Waarschijnlijk al wel 50 x beklommen, was een van mijn eerste beklimmingen in dit deel van Belgie in 2013. Bleek een leuke opwarmer voor de Rue Tesny die iets verderop je benen laat breken.
Erg onbelgisch als je het mij vraagt, je draait het bos in via de hoofdweg en gaat rustig omhoog, de haarspeldbochten geven je een gevoel in een andere wereld te komen, Visé aan de voet was een verlaten en vies stukje Belgie en dan blijkt dat de ware schoonheid niet ver weg is.
Fiets door richting Chaufontaine en geniet van de rustige omgeving.

You can also choose to take the 4th hairpin, Rue des Hauteurs, direction Richelle (my preference). Those last 200 meters are then also on average at 8%.
