Access to the climb from wherever you come is paved, the climb and then the continuation along the Pokljuka plateau is gravel all the time. The gravel on the hill isn't the smoothest, which makes it a bit more challenging, especially on some of the steeper turns, where there are extra bumps made by cars when they need to drive a little bit aggressive. On the other hand it's nice because in the summer season the road is closed to cars (sign), but some people also overlook it, so in hot and dry weather, when a car overtakes you, there is some dust in the air. Most of the route goes through the forest, which means a more pleasant route in the summer. A few short sections are quite steep and, given the slightly worse macadam road, it is certainly easier to overcome the route by mountain bike. In the last part of the climb, there are beautiful views of the surrounding peaks. A good kilometer before the end is the left turn to a mountain hut with a good offer of local food. I recommend! Before the end of the climb, there is a slight descent to the bridge over the creek, followed by the last part of the climb to the crossroads, where the trails invite you to explore and take a potentially circular route to the starting point.
