D35, D135, D335... I didn't understand everything. A pleasant climb, but not exceptional either. To be honest, my memory will probably be of the telephone box at Puy Saint Pierre... Pleasant scenery. No traffic. Road in very good condition.... read more

D35, D135, D335…
Sinon, paysages plaisants. Pas de circulation. Route en très bel état.

Beautiful local climb with hardly any traffic cycled when I was staying in Briançon.
Climb starts directly when leaving the city (Route du Gap) via 2 hairpins to Le Pinet. After 2,5 km climbing on the valley slope there is a right hairpin turn after which you climb quite steeply first northwards with beautiful panoramic views on the valley of the Durance river with Briançon sinking deeper and deeper.
The little church of Puy St.Pierre, visible from many places in Briancon, is situated on the edge of the ridge and you pass it to reach the highest point in the small village of Puy Richard with a few houses and inhabitants who looked surprised at a lonely cyclist.
Remark; you can continue cycling downhill and end up on the final part of the Puy St.André/ La Combe (see climbfinder)
end up.

Ideal beautiful climb with still some spicy strips that you should definitely do as a warming-up for the big three from Briançon or as extra climbing kilometers afterwards if the energy tank is not empty yet!
