I think the total amount of climbing is actually nearer 24km coming from santander. But the main part is this. Its a fun climb, some shade at the beginning too. Loads of people out on bikes and not much traffic, on a Saturday.

Road is in good shape and not that much traffic on the climb itself. Getting to the climb from Santander can be on busy roads but generally traffic isn’t too bad. It can be a bit windy ;)
