I enjoyed this climb. I did it on a Sunday and started in laredo with a loop back. Generally not much traffic. I am coming from Switzerland where the roads are very smooth. Here the roads were a lot more grip to them which in some respects is nice because of the rain here, but they were relatively dry on the day I went even though it rained in the morning. The best views are near the top and you can get a bonus view if you take the small farm road that is off to the side of an abandoned building :)
