During this kind of climb, you keep asking yourself. Why? Doing your best to keep your front wheel on the ground, that kind of work. Eventually when you get to the top you can be proud. And then with pinched buttocks back down, how I hate those descents on those goat tracks!... read more

Very gentle ascent with beautiful views of the clear blue reservoir. The road surface consists of concrete slabs with grooves. This makes the super steep climb just a tad harder. A little further than halfway up, you really have the most stunning views. Ideal for catching your breath and taking a photo. Only getting back on the bike afterwards is a challenge given the steep gradient.
At the top there is no great view but the peace of being in the middle of the forest. The descent is even bumpier than the climb and there is a lot of gravel. So pay attention and take it easy. Also tough on the arm muscles 😅.
All in all, fantastic views along the way and a great challenge to climb.

Gruesome climb, only the first kilometre the percentage is not too bad, after that you are constantly above 10% and regularly close to 20%, short but very powerful! The road surface consists of raked concrete but is not too bad to cycle on, you have beautiful views of the reservoir that has a beautiful blue colour and of the surrounding mountains. You won't see any people here, but watch out for walkers on the road along the reservoir before you start the climb.
