Nice steep and challenging climb this. You start from a nice little bridge over the water. There is a short flat/descent bit in the beginning which I am never really a fan of but good. Definitely recommended. Virtually no traffic.... read more

The climb is in two parts.
The first 800m section after the small stone bridge gets you straight into the mood, with a succession of short hairpins in steep gradients.
This is followed by a flat area and even a very short descent.
After a small bridge comes a nice hairpin that sends you straight into a wall. Don't panic, because after the next hairpin, it's even worse...
After 800m, we finally reach Cognet in an 8-9%, which looks almost flat.

There's a great view of the Drac, the Valbonnais and, of course, the Obiou!
