Long climb that becomes interesting after Ala. The lower valley is of little interest, with the exception of the beautiful, eclectic Ceres station.
A very long climb if you take it from Lanzo, up to Balme it is a quiet and constant climb without too many climbs, from after the entrance to Balme the gradients rise a little, almost all in double figures.
Beautiful views and you can also stop at the Pian della Mussa brewery for a nice cold beer
A beautiful, panoramic climb. It starts at the beautiful Ceres station and begins to climb slowly with a couple of hairpin bends at Alta and Mondrone.
After Balme there are four hairpin bends that allow you to quickly rise in altitude before reaching the signpost. From there there are another 3km or so of flat terrain with the final climb to the Rifugio. Very beautiful views, easy to see ibexes around.
Panorami molto belli, facile vedere Stambecchi in giro.
