I also recommend this side of Passo Falzerego as a DH, it offers a lot of flat sections where you can run it well. At the top you can have a snack in the place opposite the cable car.

From Cortina not as nice as Pasau, still nice climb. I was a bit late, therefore crowded and some show-off bikes. Good asphalt, so descending back to Cortina also nice.

Great combo with passo Giau for a loop. Heavily trafficked so better in the early morning

We climbed from Pocol and not all the way from Cortina and after the exhaustion of having climbed the passo Giau. The climb has therefore been a bit of recovery climb, It passes through a lovey valley with pine forests, has a manageable gradient and offers good views of the stunning mountains of Cortina. Easy continuation to Valparola where the scenery changes to a bit of a moon scape. Overall a steady and pleasant pass road.

Epic climb, not so much because of the gradients or difficulties, however present, but because of the environment in which you are immersed and the cycling history of the places you pass through. Second half decidedly more tiring than the first, no water on the route, but at least for the most part shaded.

Grand because of the views of the perpendicular cliffs and the ruggedness around you. Obviously a super short stretch from the Falzarego, but we'll take these two climbs together for a moment: doable from Cortina but challenging because of its length. Fully recommended.

Little to add to the review below.
Describes the climb perfectly, only I don't like the climb from Cortina. But what I wanted to add is that the view from the top of Valparola is beautiful. You just have to stand on top of it. So if you do the Falzarego from Cortina, don't descend directly to Arabba, but enjoy the beauty of the Valparola.
Not convinced? I will add some pictures!

Passo Valparola is on this side a little extra of about 1.2 km and 100 altimeters that you can cycle after the beautiful long not too difficult climb of the Passo Falzarego from Cortina d'Ampezzo (see Climfinder).
Two passes are connected by a steeply rising straight road with gentle curves between the peaks of the Lagazuoi (2752m) and Sas De Stria (2477m) where the wind has free play and can blow right on top.
The sign for the pass height stands alone amidst the natural beauty at the side of the road but a little further cycling brings you to a World War I fortress with museum, then to a small mountain lake and slightly descending to a mountain hut (supply). In the touristy busy summer months there was even a living soldier on guard who greeted tourists and looked at mountain bikers with amazement.

A second second hike on your cycling list with not too much extra effort after the beautiful climb of the Passo Falzarego.
