I also recommend this side of Passo Falzerego as a DH, it offers a lot of flat sections where you can run it well. At the top you can have a snack in the place opposite the cable car.
From Cortina not as nice as Pasau, still nice climb. I was a bit late, therefore crowded and some show-off bikes. Good asphalt, so descending back to Cortina also nice.

We climbed from Pocol and not all the way from Cortina and after the exhaustion of having climbed the passo Giau. Describes the climb perfectly, only I don't like the climb from Cortina. But what I wanted to add is that the view from the top of Valparola is beautiful. You just have to stand on top of it. So if you do the Falzarego from Cortina, don't descend directly to Arabba, but enjoy the beauty of the Valparola.

Beschrijft perfect hoe de klim is, alleen vind ik de klim vanuit Cortina niet zo mooi. Maar wat ik wilde toevoegen is dat het uitzicht op de top van Valparola prachtig mooi is. Je moet hier gewoon eens boven staan. Dus als je de Falzarego doet vanuit Cortina, daal dan niet direct af naar Arabba, maar geniet van de schoonheid van de Valparola.

Twee passen zijn verbonden door een stevig stijgende rechte weg met flauwe bochten tussen de toppen van de Lagazuoi (2752m) en Sas De Stria (2477m) waar de wind vrij spel heeft en pal op kop kan blazen.
Bord van de pashoogte staat te midden van de natuurpracht eenzaam langs de wegkant maar even verder fietsen brengt je bij een Wereldoorlog I fort met museum , vervolgens bij een klein bergmeertje en licht afdalend tot een berghut(bevoorrading). In de toeristisch drukke zomermaanden stond er zowaar een levende soldaat op wacht die toeristen begroet en bergfietsers met verbazing aankeek.
Een tweede tweeduizender op je fietslijstje met niet te veel extra inspanning na de prachtige beklimming van de Passo Falzarego.
