Hard, uneven climb, but it is definitely worth it. The view from the top is fantastic. You have a clear view of the valley, the climb towards Nufenenpass, parts of the Tremolapass and all the mountains surrounding these. The climb is in three parts, divided by two steep descents (save some energy for these, my GPS measured 15-16% on the return). First part brings you up from the Gotthardpass and is not very challenging. The second part winds its way up a small ridge nad reminds you that this ... read more

The climb is in three parts, divided by two steep descents (save some energy for these, my GPS measured 15-16% on the return). First part brings you up from the Gotthardpass and is not very challenging. The second part winds its way up a small ridge nad reminds you that this is a mountain road. The third part is almost a balcony road around a small side valley.
The nature surrounding the climb is beautiful, remember to enjoy it on the way. At the start of the third part there is a short section (200 m) of bad gravel road. However, this is not the steepest part, which means it is doable. The rest of the climb is on nice tarmac.
