Everything about it is incredible: the climb (regular, hard but not too hard, quiet with hardly any cars), the views, especially at the summit where it's absolutely splendid, especially in the late afternoon, and the path from the lago di ledro. Beware: if you plot the route on Strava, the app starts you off with a shortcut through the woods, which I took without knowing because it's possible to drive on concrete, but which is particularly steep (approx. 17 to 20%).

At the top is a restaurant, after which you can only continue over rough gravel on the MTB to a tunnel, after which a descent to Riva del Garda is possible, but only on an MTB or sturdy Gravelbike. There's also an agriturismo, a bit lower down, where you can eat delicious food, but again you can only get there by MBT, car or on foot.

Redelijk constante stijging van rond de 8-9％, met af en toe iets steiler deel en twee stukjes bijna vlak of dalend, waar je even kunt bijkomen. Bovenaan zit een restaurant, waarna je alleen verder kunt over grof gravel op de MTB tot aan een tunnel, waarna een afdaling naar Riva del Garda mogelijk is, maar dat is dus alleen mogelijk op een MTB of stevige Gravelbike. Er zit ook een agriturismo, iets lager geleden, waar je heerlijk kunt eten, maar ook daarvoor geldt dat je daar alleen met MBT, auto of te voet kunt komen.

The passo di Tremalzo starts at the Lago di Ampola. A small lake situated between Idro and Ledeo Lake. The climb goes up a lot from the start. First through the woods, but the last kilometres you cycle through the alpine meadows and you see the road in front of you. As usual, the last kilometers hurt the most.
