From Perino, the climb is very gentle until the bridge on the Perino creek itself. Keep the left on the main road (on the right you would have a much more challenging climb to either Passo Cappelletta or Passo S.Barbara).

Afther the bridge, gradients pick up but they are never overly steep or challenging. This is a climb that you can do at a brisk pace while enjoying the panorama and mountains around you.

The steepest part will wait you just before Crocinito, with a short steep section, but again very doable. After that you can continue in the forest to the passo itself.

I prefer this side both ascending and descending, the road is narrower but it's also wilder than the Bettola side :-)
