The ascent to the Passo del Cavallo from Sarezzo is extremely rideable and the only challenging section is the tear near the primary schools in the hamlet of S. Apollonio. From a landscape point of view, it is nothing much as you remain in the built-up area of Lumezzane until 3/4 km from the summit. Once you get to the pass, there is a small church dedicated to Christ of the Mountains and a fountain (you have to take the road to the right of the small church). If you decide to tackle this climb, take a few things into account: the asphalt tends to be good all the way, avoid doing it during the week because the traffic, even of heavy vehicles, is heavy, and take some lights with you because you have to cross a short but unlit tunnel. To continue the tour, I advise against descending towards the Val Sabbia (there are three dangerous, long and poorly lit tunnels). If you are on a MTB, you can descend from the path back to the village of Mosniga.

The climb is not difficult, but it is not particularly beautiful because it is almost all within the built-up area of Lumezzane. The most beautiful part is the final stretch, the straight stretch to the pass where the little church of Christ of the Mounts is located. The road is always wide and smooth, but during the week it is very busy with lorries from the numerous businesses in Lumezzane.
