Absolutely worth the diversion, if you have climbed to the top of Grimsel it would be shame not to finish it off. A narrow road from the top of the pass, traffic should be light but take care on the blind corners. Well worth the diversion, If you go early in the season the road might still be closed.

Wonderful extension of the Grimsel Pass. Not easy after the long climb but not too difficult as an addition either. When I drove there very quiet, especially compared to the Grimsel Pass itself. Narrow though, so watch out for oncoming traffic.

Highly recommended!

If you have just done the Grimsel you might be a bit tired, but this climb is really a wonderful contrast to the busy Grimsel pass. Almost no traffic as described. There are some steep parts in it, and everything is also above 2000 metres, but in principle it is very doable.

The views are really beautiful and you feel like you are cycling something special.

I descended to the reservoir itself, which was not so special. But I did go up another 800 metres in 10%. And then I enjoyed the way back.

Nb Different from what is written here, I understood from a 'employee' that cyclists do not have to stick to the timeslots, but of course they have to pay extra attention.

Absolute aanrader!
