Quite a challenging climb despite the few points - but then you have to like cobbles and gravel because although the gravel is mostly rideable, there are some coarser sections in it too (so careful how you choose your line). Moreover, the steepest part is also in the gravel. On the other hand, the road has no through traffic (there is an obstacle) and is wonderfully quiet. After turning right, there is a stretch of asphalt and then a fine gravel bike path up to the summit.... read more

First stretch is already bad as the climb opens on cobblestones. When you think you've had the worst of it, the next stretch consists of gravel, then loose sand and then loose pebbles.... So not to be taken on a racing bike. Rather take the side from Ruiter itself: good tarmac and nicer. Then again, the last bit of gravel is doable on a racing bike.

Very nice climb but as reteiP says Hollestraat is a bit worse, but if you like to ride over cobblestones and fine gravel like me (and you have a spare tyre with you) this is a nice one to do!

This is a climb from the MTB route Waasmunster 'Hollestraat', but then with the spur towards the woods where it goes on in a gravel piece.
With a normal racing bike is especially the Hollestraat not a good idea.
