Ideal for just filling up the legs in a short time.... if you don't downshift of course. May not have a name, but ideal for short interval work. Very busy on summer days, so I would choose a different route.... read more

The 10% sign is certainly exaggerated but it rises nicely for a while after the bend - but so briefly that you hardly need to downshift. The steep section consists of some rough-laid cobbles. It then turns into an asphalt bike path which is much flatter with some waves to the highest point.

Asselsepad from the railway. Good cycle path next to gravel road. Some recreational traffic on weekends.

Asselsepad vanaf het spoor. Goed fietspad naast grindweg. In het weekend het nodige recreatieve verkeer.

This is a relatively short climb in beautiful surroundings through the forest. With percentages around 6 to 7 %, it is very suitable to get your heart rate up, especially compared to most of the other climbs in the area. Not a climb to look for, but as part of a local tour I would always go for it.
