Leuke klim op een mooi wegdek. Ik wist dat de klim een zekere lengte had, dus ik dacht dat deze rustig lopend zou zijn. Dat viel tegen: er waren twee steilere, pittigere delen na ongeveer een kilometer klimmen. Ook kort even kasseien die redelijk slecht liggen (gelukkig maar een meter of 20). Eenmaal links afgeslaan loopt hij nog zeer licht op, maar weinig speciaals meer vanaf dat moment. Mooi voor centrum Eupen.

De laatste twee kilometer tot aan de top gaat het stijgingspercentage weer wat op en neer zonder dat het echt zwaar wordt.
Actually a very pleasant climb with a bit of everything. Almost from the centre of Eupen, you first follow a slight climb and descent through greenery towards the old centre of Nispert where a cobbled section awaits you. Here it immediately pops uphill. The gradient is not really on the profile but is definitely above 10％. Only lasts for a short time after which you can recuperate on an almost flat section after which steep slope two follows - which is a lot longer. At the top is a 12％ sign and that's what it feels like. Just after the slope, you come to a T-junction where you turn left and can complete the rest of the climb in a relaxed - and pleasant as it is a nice road that goes past sports grounds and into the forest with a few turns. Vrijwel vanuit het centrum van Eupen volg je eerst een lichte klim en afdaling door het groen richting het oude centrum van Nispert waar een kasseienstrook op je wacht. Hier knalt het meteen omhoog. De helling staat niet echt op het profiel maar is zeker boven de 10％. Duurt maar kort waarna je kan recupereren op een vrijwel vlak stuk waarna steile helling twee volgt - die een stuk langer is. Boven staat een bord 12％ en zo voelt hij ook. Vlak na de helling kom je op een T-splitsing waar je links gaat en de rest van de klim op een relaxte - en aangename want het is een leuke weg die met enkele bochten langs sportterreinen en het bos in loopt - wijze kan volbrengen. Na de twee steile helling is dat lekker bijkomen.
