Wil je vanuit de bebouwde kom van Groesbeek terug naar Nijmegen, mis je nog wat hoogtemeters en heb je geen zin in de Zevenheuvelenweg, dan kun je deze route nemen. Heel erg aantrekkelijk is het niet: het fietspad bestaat grotendeels uit scheve tegels en het is er erg smal (op 1,5m passeren zit er zeker niet in). Op de Nijmeegsebaan is er nog wat vals plat over. Groot voordeel van deze route is wel dat het een van de snelste manieren is om terug in Nijmegen te komen, omdat je na de top van de Nijmeegsebaan heel lang hard kan afdalen (weinig noemenswaardige kruisingen) tot de rotonde bij Heilig Landstichting.
