Mooie lange maar onregelmatige klim door een mooie bosrijke omgeving. Overigens zijn het naaldbomen, dus deze geven in de winter weinig beschutting tegen een eventuele brandende zon. Het wegdek is goed en de wegen zijn breed, dus het weinige verkeer dat langsrijdt kan met voldoende afstand inhalen. Qua natuurschoon zeker een omweg waard, zeker ook als je de top bij het gehucht Kelmen bereikt, dat in een groene oase van alpenweiden ligt met uitzicht op de top van de Zugspitze.
