De klim op zichzelf is niet super moeilijk. Vooral even doorbijten aan het begin (kan me wel voorstellen als je hier na 150km passeert dit misschien wel als moeilijk wordt ervaren). Je begint er waarschijnlijk wel aan vanuit praktisch stilstand want in Durbuy verlies je vaak al je snelheid door het verkeer en de kasseitjes.
Crossed this year during the Liège-Bastogne-Liège Challenge. I didn't find it all that hard, especially compared to other Ardennes "tracks", but it would probably hurt my legs if it was at the end of a cyclo-cross. Beautiful views from the summit.
Côte Cotacol (n° 228), aussi appelée « côte de la Gendarmerie », franchie cette année lors du Liège-Bastogne-Liège Challenge (2025). Je ne l'ai pas trouvée si dure que cela, surtout en comparaison d'autres « morceaux » ardennais, mais elle ferait sans doute mal aux jambes si elle se trouvait en fin de parcours d'une cyclo. Belles vues au sommet.

Spicy in beginning and beautiful spur with view behind durbuy. Nice when the sun shines above. Bottom piece is some traffic and the steep turn tricky for cars, so be careful
Pittig in begin en mooie uitloper met zicht achter durbuy. Leuk als het zonnetje schijnt boven. Onderste stuk wel wat verkeer en de steile bocht lastig voor auto's, dus even oppassen
