Beautiful discovery! Crossing the post Ash valley, you take a winding road between beautiful cottages. After a few kilometers you enter nature. The road despite being mountain is perfect until the junction to the other Ascent. The flat section in addition to lowering the average gradient, is a little bumpy. Arriving at the top you find yourself in a beautiful Walser style village with a small pond and mountain views, were it not for the last bit I would give it my all.... read more

Bellissima scoperta!

Challenging ascent, wonderful views, road surface generally good but a little questionable in some sections, absolutely must be done!

The climb is more challenging than the average percentage says, partly because the last 3 kilometers are flat. In fact, the first 9 kilometers have an average gradient of about 9 %. With the exception of the first few kilometers, the climb is often shaded by trees and is perfect if ridden in the summer months. The most challenging points will be encountered before Medoscio (long straight section) and before Monti di Ditto.
Spectacular views of the Lago Maggiore before reaching the top. You may find just a little traffic on summer weekends.
