Very nice climb. Cycled in July while it was 36 degrees in Tortosa in the afternoon. The climb started with some mist, once the sun came through after 10am, it quickly warmed up, despite the rising altitude. For my son of almost 17, it remained only just bearable. We cycled this wonderful and super quiet climb on a touring bike and mountain bike respectively. Four km before the summit, you can turn off to stop for a drink. Furthermore, above roughly 1000 metres you can see all kinds of beautiful... read more

Debilitating climb due to its length and double-digit percentages at the end. Otherwise very good tarmac, until the last 3km (which was a bit less). Super nice views and seen deer and birds of prey at the top. Apart from two cyclists and some cars, there was nobody there!

I climbed this hill several times in July. After cycling from Cambrils. Very nice climb, but tiring and no shade. The steepest part is at the end, between the inhabited area and the weather station at the very top.

Furthermore, above roughly 1000 metres you can see all kinds of beautiful butterflies, for example a yellow-orange one. At the summit, there is a nice new viewing platform. On this warm day, it was too hazy to get a good view of the Ebro Delta. Other than that, still a great view.

Erg mooie klim.

Tough but manageable and very beautiful. Did it early April, after 4pm you will find quite a few shaded turns to cool down a bit. I would be careful if attempting this during summer months.

In terms of rent and scenery, the Mont is perhaps the most beautiful col in Spain. When there is no fog, the views are phenomenal but the climb itself is certainly not to be underestimated. With its 22 km and the venom in the 2nd part and little shade, it is quite a tough one.
The first 8 km are a runner and are quite manageable with the big plateau but then the steeper part starts with regular sections of 10% and more and oo I some hairpin turns really hurt you. But in the meantime, enjoy the beautiful scenery, especially between km 16 and 20 and during km 18 the gradient drops to barely 3% allowing you to really enjoy the Catalan nature while recuperating. By the way, the entire col is in a nature reserve ( La Port ).

Round trip from EL PERELLO by small steep roads passing the COLL DE L'ALBA ... very difficult, especially the return. Be careful with the weather because there are very few shaded areas !
