Really enjoyed this unknown climb towards Mon from Tiefencastel. However, with tired legs it was not easy. On a perfect tarmac road, the percentage quickly rises to double digits. Just before you enter Mon, you have the possibility (like me) to take the exit to Stierva where the climb continues for quite a while (see Alp da Stierva). Warmly recommended!... read more

Warm aanbevolen!

Very nice alternative for the start of the Julier Pass from Tiefencastel. Until Mon perfect asphalt, then reasonable. Road with beautiful small villages, churches and some nice panoramas. The road is very quiet, which makes it a good alternative for the 'big road'to the Julier Pass, for people who like beautiful views and quieter roads. That provides about 200 altimeters more.
