Asfalt is in 2024 vervangen. Perfect!

Although on the graph it looks like the hardest slope, this is not the case. The exits from the bends are gentler and allow you to catch your breath. The asphalt is in worse condition than the Pego slope, but the ascent to the top is tough and beautiful.

The road from Adsubia to the road with no name (Pego-Alcala) has been in poor condition for years. This is why I have never done the climb from Adsubia. From Pego, I did the climb twice in the last 10 months in preparation and during the Gran Fondo Contador 2022. For the 2023 edition, they wisely chose not to include that climb in the route anymore ! Today, 30 May 2023, I did the climb from the other side, viz. from CV 712 (Alcala-Val d' Ebo). In contrast to the Gran Fondo, I now cycled all the way to the top of the observatory, narrow concrete track in reasonable condition but very steep up to the top and no rest point at all !
