The climb is quite hard, but pleasant with nice views across the moors towards the Menez-Hom. If you turn around and go back down the way you went up, the views are spectacular..... read more

I climbed this twice in one day in July 2018. Why? Because it was lined with a festive crowd awaiting the Tour de France! First time up was with my daughter 10 years old, battling bravely on her Isla Bike to cries of 'allez petite!' from enthusiastic spectators. What a great experience for her and proud dad. She made it all the way, despite some respectably steep bits. I later returned for another pop at it and went full gas of course (probably not very impressive to watch). After the summit I ducked under a barrier and began riding a track up to the radio mast nearby, but some soldiers I met had other ideas about that.
