Nice quiet climb with recent cycling history. Traffic-free, but can be muddy due to agricultural traffic. The nameplate is apparently popular, as it has since been replaced by another white one.

Nice alternative (together with the descent over the Kleine Heideweg) to avoid a large part of the boring provincial road between Berg and Valkenburg. Good tarmac but risk of dirt from agricultural traffic. Oh yes, the name: that's a nice extra, of course.

Wat je wel krijgt is werkelijk een prachtig weggetje (dat je alleen met wandelaars deelt) dat met enkele bochten door een fraai gebied loopt. Leuk alternatief (samen met de afdaling over de Kleine Heideweg) om een groot deel van de saaie provinciale weg tussen Berg en Valkenburg te omzeilen. Goed asfalt maar wel kans op vuil van landbouwverkeer. O ja de naam: da's natuurlijk een leuk extraatje.

Geweldig weggetje om eens te proberen! Weinig wielrenners zullen zonder grote glimlach het bordje passeren bij het ingaan van de Allee. Vervolgens rijd je tussen de weilanden en korenvelden door richting Vilt. Hét stuk waar VDP het gat op de groep Mollema en vervolgens Alaphilippe en Fuglsang dichtreed. Lekker gas geven en jezelf voor even Mathieu wanen!
Nice quiet little road with a nice view and a special name. The street name was renamed after Mathieu van der Poel's magisterial victory in the 2019 Amstel Gold Race.
