Initial climbing is up past some houses at an easy gradient. There is then a left turn up a lane off the Dyserth-Cwm Road. Don't miss it - the property at the junction has a sign 'Pentre Cwm' built into the stone wall. The climb really gets going here with around 400m of double digit climbing.
