This long climb starts on the edge of town with a very steep section but slowly flattens out to a more friendly gradient. If the first section doesn't do you, then the rest of the climb is managable at a decent pace. As you head out into the countryside there are some great views on either side of the road, so keep a look out when safe to do so!.
