Short but tough climb from Bilzen towards the Letenberg. The road goes straight up and stays fairly constant, with a few steeper sections that break the pace. The climb is short but continues to climb briskly and keeps the legs working. Thanks to the quiet road course and good asphalt, it's a pleasant climb to include in a ride around Bilzen. At the top it flattens out and you can roll out nicely.
Korte maar pittige klim vanuit Bilzen richting de Letenberg. De weg loopt direct omhoog en blijft vrij constant, met een paar steilere stukken die het tempo breken. De klim is kort maar blijft stevig klimmen en houdt de benen aan het werk. Dankzij het rustige wegverloop en het goede asfalt is het een aangename klim om mee te nemen in een rondje rond Bilzen. Boven vlakt het uit en kan je mooi uitrollen.
My absolute favourite in the area! After a quiet purchase un a beautiful rural setting, the gradient rises seriously as soon as you enter the forest. Through a nice hollow road you climb steadily up, with the climb continuing for longer than expected. Very car-free. A gem!
Mijn absolute favoriet in de omgeving! Na een rustige aankoop un een mooie landelijke omgeving stijgt het stijgingspercentage serieus zodra je het bos inrijdt. Door een mooie holle weg klim je gestaag omhoog, waarbij de klim langer doortrekt dan verwacht. Zeer autoluw. Een juweeltje!
"Must-do" if you are in the area because by far most of the climbing points. Add to this the beautiful surroundings (especially in the beginning, after that it becomes mostly forest), the fine tarmac and a "real" slope and it is clear that it is a must-do. From the bridge it goes up very relaxed at first but next to the house you can already see the slope popping up. And that slope continues - sometimes a bit lighter but still respectable - almost to the end.
"Must-do" als je in de buurt bent want verreweg de meeste klimpunten. Tel daarbij de fraaie omgeving (vooral in het begin, daarna wordt het vooral bos), het prima asfalt en een "echte" helling en het is duidelijk dat het een aanrader is. Vanaf de brug gaat het eerst heel relaxed omhoog maar naast het huis zie je de helling al omhoog knallen. En die helling loopt - soms wat lichter maar nog steeds respectabel - vrijwel door tot het eind.

Deze klim ligt goed weggestoken langs de "ring" van Bilzen. De helling is redelijk ongelijk, maar het wegdek is wel heel goed. Mooie verbinding tussen Bilzen en Alden Biesen.
