An uphill climb, but nothing too exciting. You can stop at Orres 1600 or continue to Orres 1800.

It's a long one. It's never really difficult, especially as there's a short downhill section that feels good. I would certainly have preferred this long climb without rain. The road is good. Surprisingly, I passed very few vehicles. The scenery is beautiful but not sublime either. It's a really nice climb, but it doesn't leave any unique or magical memories. Worth doing, nonetheless. I give it 4 stars because the sun is back...
Up there, in the resort, the architects had a field day. They've done nature no favours.
The rain is coming back!
Les Orres was the place to be, but not today!

C’est long.

Relatively even climb, ridden on MTB
Great road surface, nice views.
Highly recommended, when you reach the top at 1800mtr also check out the bikepark.

Relatief gelijkmatige klim, gereden op MTB
Prima wegdek, mooie vergezichten.

A good pass with challenging gradients that take turns with a few drops, so it's a good way to recuperate and get back on track.

A nice climb from Embrun. After the village of Les Orres it's another 5 km to Les Orres 1650 where the climb ends. You can also continue to Les Orres 1800.
Les Orres 1650 is a ski station with apartment complexes; a past time. Behind the apartment complexes are the ski lifts with some expensive terraces.

Les Orres has been climbed many times as a warm-up at the beginning of the holiday. A beautiful climb, little traffic. The photo shows a holiday park a few km below the summit.

Did it a few years ago from Embrun running on a rather warm day (28C). Spicy, but beautiful to do for the enthusiast. 1.5 liters of drink and along the way there were a few places with a water point. Perhaps useful to have someone upstairs with a car that you can return, unless you want to do more than 30 km.
